Dodge's upcoming electric muscle cars will be producing a "shocking sound," the chief executive officer of Stellantis, the parent company of the automobile brand, Carlos Tavares, said.

The Stellantis exec, which handles numerous other car brands, including Dodge, shared tons of revelations about what's coming to these automakers, such as electrification and its challenges.
On top of that, Tavares specifically also shared details regarding its future plans for Dodge, which is widely known for its muscle cars, as per a news story by The Drive.
The news outlet further noted that the CEO of Dodge, Tim Kuniskis, himself confirmed last 2021 that the "e-muscle" car fleet of the automaker is launching its first performance EV sometime in 2024.
Although it is not the first rodeo of Stellantis in producing compelling electric cars, it would be the first dip of Dodge in the EV market as it has yet to release one.

Dodge, which produces massively popular performance muscle cars, namely the Charger and the Challenger, is known for its fuel-powered V8 engines.
However, the upcoming release of the Dodge "e-muscle" cars would be forced to let go of the loud and powerful eight-cylinder engine, which fans of the car brand have come to love.
Dodge is reportedly releasing its concepts for these future electric performance vehicles this 2022, but its production model is seeing the light of day two years from now or in 2024, according to a recent report by InsideEVs.
Dodge Electric Muscle Vehicles' Shocking Sound
All that said, some fans of the performance car brand are concerned as the loud roar of the supercharged V8 engines is about to bid its farewell.
However, the CEO of Stellantis said that the iconic V8 fuel engines of its vehicles need to be replaced with a counterpart that would still replicate its iconic characteristics.
The automaker exec revealed that they "are creating a sound that you cannot imagine," dubbing it as "shocking."
He went on to add that they are working to "make the sound louder and more powerful in the function of the way you are using the car."
EVs and Engine Sounds
It is interesting to point out that electric vehicles, unlike fuel-powered engines, operate quietly even in high-performance usage.
Thus, some automakers are planning to create a loud sound to make it feel like a performance engine.
In fact, The Drive noted in its report that the South Korean carmaker, Kia, has been offering its users dynamic sound options for its electric engines.
