The rumored Apple EA (Electronic Arts) acquisition has been making the headlines lately. However, experts clarified that this is unlikely to happen for a very simple reason.

The iPhone maker has a long history of speculated acquisitions. One of these is the controversial Tesla purchase. 

In 2021, a book alleging Apple of trying to acquire Tesla was published. But, Elon Musk clarified that the rumored deal did not really happen since Tim Cook refused to meet with him. 

Now, critics debunked the speculated Apple EA acquisition, saying that the tech manufacturer is unlikely to go after the game company. 

Apple EA Acquisition Unlikely To Happen? 

According to Apple Insider's latest report, new rumors about EA claim that Apple, Amazon, and Disney tried to acquire the American video game company.

As of writing, the three companies haven't confirmed the speculated EA acquisition. Meanwhile, various experts said that since Apple is already moving toward the gaming market, there's a low chance that it will go after Electronic Arts. 

They explained that the iPhone maker already has its Apple Arcade subscription service, allowing consumers to have a game catalog of more than 200 popular titles.

Apple Music Subscription Price Hike for Students

While Apple hasn't provided any statement regarding the alleged EA acquisition, Mac Rumors reported that the giant tech firm decided to increase the price of its Apple Music subscription service. 

The sudden price change will specifically affect college students in various countries. 

This detail was confirmed after the iPhone maker sent an email message to students, informing them about the price adjustment. 

"Apple is raising the price of this subscription from USD 1.49 per month to USD 1.99 per month," an email from Apple read to a customer in South Africa," said the giant tech firm.
