The new poster for Star Wars: The Force Awakens sure is beautiful, isn't it? The lighting, the poses, the characters new and old look great, and it even gives us a glimpse at what we can maybe expect from the full film. Is that another Death Star?

You know what wouldn't improve it? Jar Jar Binks. You may have noticed that the poster is missing a certain Gungan from the prequel trilogy. We are of course talking about the (kind of?) lovable buffoon that appeared in the first half of George Lucas' six film Star Wars saga and spent most of his time licking things, fumbling things or voting to grant Chancellor Palpatine emergency powers, essentially creating the Empire. Never mind that the character would be ancient by the time of Episode 7. Some people just can't get enough Jar Jar, and so they've created the monstrosity below.

Yes, that is the Star Wars: The Force Awakens poster with almost every character swapped out for Jar Jar Binks. Jar Jar Binks as the evil Kylo Ren. Jar Jar Binks as Finn. Jar Jar Binks as Rey. Jar Jar Binks as Poe Dameron, X-Wing pilot extraordinaire. Only the droids, Chewbacca and whoever that little guy is in the middle of the poster were spared the indignity of being transformed into the universe's most hated Gungan.

As goofy as it is, it's actually kind of impressive. The poster comes from Photoshop master Olly Gibbs, an illustrator for Empire magazine. He tweeted out the poster yesterday with the caption "I just improved #StarWars #TheForceAwakens by 10000%." Then he threw in a #JarJarBinks for good measure.

We're not sure it's an improvement, but it's definitely funny. Unless Jar Jar actually is in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Then it's not funny at all. Be sure to check back later today for the full Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer as well as ticket pre-sale information. May the force be with us all.
