Playstation 4 owners have a reason to carry a big smile on their face: WiLD, the exclusive open world survival game was showcased at the Paris Games Week 2015.

The game follows the story of an ancient shaman who is deeply connected to Mother Nature. The link is so strong that the character is able to possess various animals or summon wild beasts to achieve his goals. The main character can also ask for the assistance of gods and goddesses, who may or may not come to his aid.

"Discovering the relationship between man and nature is the essence of WiLD," said Michel Ancel, Wild Sheep Creative Director.

The game development company Wild Sheep Studio worked on other titles, such as Beyond Good and Evil and Rayman.

Most voices from the industry agree that even if the game looks huge and eye-watering beautiful, the bear riding part takes the cake. It is an incredible powerful feeling that gamers have when they see the furry behemoth moving towards the horizon like a menacing, wildling warhorse. When the shaman summons creatures, the bear's growls reflect the human's and the synergy is hair-raising.

WiLD's gameplay trailer presents the shaman's quest: he must cure a poisoned woman in his village. For that to happen, he must travel to the sacred shrine of the Mighty Snake divinity. Seeing through the eyes of an eagle and riding the famed bear to the destination are integral parts of the quest. Once there, the shaman's path is blocked by a tribe of cannibals. To get tactical information about the enemies' camp, he sneaks through the camp by possessing a rabbit and controlling it around the settlement. Finally, the shaman distracts his foes with a swarm of ravens before finally finding his way beyond the camp.

The demo video ends with the main character reaching the snake goddess, whose presence is hypnotizing. In gamers' lingo, that means that her cleavage is visually taunting and could easily distract the weak of heart from the quest at hand.

The game generally favors stealthy mechanics, but full on smash and crash action is also promised.

A myriad of fantastical elements have been poured into the game, from underwater giant skeleton kings to huge nymphs living inside towering trees. When the game is completed, more animistic magical presence is still expected.

The producers pointed out that there is no settled launch date for WiLD, and that the game will land on PlayStation 4 only.
