The new Capture Cam from EE is set to take livestreaming on a different "size" angle as the device is said to measure 55 millimeters equally on its four sides, which makes it perfect for capturing everyday moments.

The new snapper, which is slated to hit the stores just in time for the Christmas season, is said to come equipped with a clip which allows it to be kept in one's shirt, a handbag or even a backpack. It's built with an 8 MP sensor which makes it possible to shoot still images and record videos of up to 1080p at 30 fps.

The 90-gram Capture Cam also comes with 4 GB of storage and a memory card slot for upgrading purposes. Its livestreaming feature works in the same way as one would do it when using Periscope or Meerkat.

"The first businesses to use 4GEE Capture Cam include Swinley Bike Hub Mountain Biking Centre in Berkshire adding real-time video to their coaching and training sessions, and online estate agent eMoov live streaming property viewings to potential buyers," said the team at EE.

It should be noted that the Capture Cam's live 4G streaming is not possible unless the user signs up on a PAYG or Pay Monthly data plan. One of the best ways to perhaps describe it to one's circle of friends is how the Capture Cam resembles the Instagram logo.

As tiny as it is, the device easily fits in one's palm while it exudes a rugged feel that comes from its rubberized build. It's even possible to hold it using only one's two fingers.

EE plans to launch more ways for users to share video footages through social media in the not so distant future. While the Capture Cam has the option of recording a full HD 1080p footage, users can only do so by first saving the images directly to its built-in memory of 4 GB or to a microSD card. The latter can come in a size that's as huge as 64 GB, which should be enough to record more hours of footage.

The cute camera is also equipped with a battery ,which is strong enough to provide up to two and a half hours of uninterrupted streaming or up to 24 hours of standby mode.

The new Capture Cam comes with a dedicated smartphone app that is available to users of iOS and Android. There's no information yet on the pricing, while the exact release date is yet to be announced. According to EE, the new camera will be available as part of the mobile plans that the company currently offers.
