The soft-spoken painter with the 80's 'fro would have celebrated his 73rd birthday on Thursday. However, in 1995, Bob Ross passed away from lymphoma but left behind his legacy of 403 episodes of his painting how-to show, The Joy of Painting.

In honor of the beloved artist's birthday, Twitch began streaming every single episode of the PBS show on Thursday at 5 p.m. EST on their newly unveiled channel Twitch Creative.

Recently, Bob Ross' official YouTube Channel has also made the entire first season of The Joy of Painting available to view online for free.

The Twitch live stream of the show will run for 8.5 days straight and was made possible with the blessing of Janson Media and Bob Ross Inc.

Viewers on Twitter are live-tweeting the heartfelt emotions they feel while re-watching the old episodes and share their memories online of the man who inspired a whole generation to pick up some brushes and paint "happy little trees."
