An unannounced Motorola smartphone has shown up in a new leaked video. The 5.2-inch smartphone is reportedly running an early build of Android L and is shown next to a Nexus 5.

Motorola typically likes to launch new Droid smartphones for Verizon and a flagship device during the summer months. The company released the Droid Ultra, Droid Mini, and Droid Maxx for Verizon last July and also launched its flagship Moto X last August. Motorola is widely expected to follow a similar schedule this year and one of those four smartphones has just appeared in a leaked video.

We reported on a mystery Motorola smartphone in May that was believed to be the Moto X's successor, the Moto X+1. The source of the leaked image followed up with another photo of the smartphone's 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display.

TK Tech News is back with a video of the 5.2-inch unannounced Motorola smartphone. The smartphone has been covered in areas with tape to protect the tipster. The handset appears to be running what looks like a very early build of Google's just announced Android L OS and is running on Verizon's 4G LTE network. The tipster couldn't confirm if this smartphone was one of three upcoming Droids for Verizon or if it was the flagship Moto X+1.

The video also shows how the Motorola smartphone compares with Google's 5-inch Nexus 5. The Motorola handset is just slightly larger than the Nexus 5, which backs up previous reports that it would ship with a 5.2-inch display. We also get to see how superior the Moto device's screen is compared to Google's current flagship. The handset is believed to be using a 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD AMOLED display, which explains why its colors are crisp and bright, while the Nexus 5's display appears to be washed out in comparison.

The tipster claims that he'll be updating us on more details once he gets the device in hand. The video was reportedly sent from a Motorola or Verizon employee. Once we hear any more additional details on this mystery Motorola smartphone, we'll pass it on. Check out the video below to see the Motorola smartphone in action.
