The last of "The Hunger Games" film is due to hit theaters this month, bringing to a close one of the most successful movie franchises in history. Jennifer Lawrence was in Los Angeles promoting for "Mockingjay - Part 2," talking to the press about the final installment in the series.

As one of the main stars of "The Hunger Games," Lawrence spent several years of her life with the film. It's not so far-fetched then to assume that being responsible for bringing to life Katniss Everdeen has have had an impact on the actress. Lawrence shared that, to her, it felt like she had two final endings for the character: one was when filming wrapped up in Berlin and the other when she shot her last scene for "Mockingjay - Part 2" with her nephews, who played her children in the movie.

"It was an amazing closure to a film I have loved for so many years," she added.

When asked what she thought her character meant to the world of movie heroines, Lawrence said that "Katniss is the best female character, ever."

Does Lawrence feel like she's accomplished everything she sought out to do with Katniss?

The actress thinks the feeling of accomplishment will only probably come when the last film actually comes out, noting that in some ways they're not really done working on it and that she didn't feel like she was saying goodbye to Katniss.

Lawrence also felt that it was too soon to look back and reflect on the experience to see how being part of "The Hunger Games" affected her professionally but that she hopes she grew up along the way, while working with her co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth figure things out.

As now the face of a heroine, is Lawrence open to being part of a superhero movie? Say, "Captain Marvel?"

There's no official word yet on who will be playing Carol Danvers (although Ronda Rousey had been more than vocal about her intentions to be in the Marvel movie) but Lawrence said she'd love to play in the same sand box as Chris Pratt and Bradley Cooper.

Lawrence recently penned an essay bemoaning being unjustly paid less than her male co-workers, and while Cooper's name was mentioned, the actress has clarified that she has no ill feelings towards the actor.
