This week is certain to be an exciting one for fans of Blizzard's Warcraft franchise. The first official trailer for the upcoming Warcraft film adaptation will debut at Blizzcon this Friday, but Legendary Pictures is making sure to build up some hype around the film in the days leading up to the premiere of the trailer.

Yesterday we got a glimpse at several new images from the movie, as well as a new poster. Today we get a small preview of what's coming in the trailer, and it looks pretty darn epic.

It starts with a man leaping off a structure, sword in hand, and landing on a gryphon flying below. From there it's sweeping shots of what appears to be a war rally in the human capital of Stormwind, the orcs arrival into Azeroth, a massive battle scene, an attack from a direwolf and a human soldier firing a gun.

Director Duncan Jones answered a few fan questions on Twitter revolving around the teaser, confirming that the orcs at one point will arrive in Westfall, as shown in the teaser. Westfall is a well-known region to anybody who has every played as the Alliance in World of Warcraft, as it's an early-level zone where players must help struggling farmers overcome a deadly group of rogues known as the Defias Brotherhood. If you look closely into the crowd at the rally in Stormwind, you'll also see what appears to be High Elves, another major faction in the world of Azeroth.

While footage from the movie did leak online earlier this year before being removed from the web, this teaser is the first official footage from Warcraft shown outside the walls of San Diego Comic Con.

There is certain to be much more where this came from. What other surprises does Legendary Pictures have for the rest of the week? We'll have to wait and find out, but Friday should certainly be epic. You can check out the film's newly revealed poster below.

Warcraft is in theaters June 10, 2016.
