Ever wanted to walk through the forests of Middle-Earth but didn't have a way to get there? Well, Google's here to save the day, and has released a new addition to its Street View.

The company partnered with the New Zealand Department of Conservation to use Google Trekker, offering a pretty good look at the lush New Zealand hills, with Street View now showing seven of the 'Great Walks' that are found in New Zealand.

The New Zealand Great Walks have been on the bucket lists of many, but with New Zealand being so removed from the rest of the world they can be a little difficult to travel to. Google says that it hopes the new additions to Street View will help people prepare for their trips to New Zealand or help those who want to roam around New Zealand virtually do so.

This isn't the first time that Google has made some additions to Street View. Apart from separating the Street View app from the Google Maps app, the company recently added the ability to take a look at the breathtaking views of Sabah in Malaysia, a country on the northern part of the island of Borneo.

Of course, the new views are a little glitchy, but they certainly do capture the beauty of the area at hand. As far as the areas from New Zealand that Google recently added to Street View go, areas include Milford, Kepler, Abel Tasman, Lake Waikaremoana, Heaphy, Routeburn, and Rakiura.

You can head here to explore the walks for yourself, or check out the Lake Waikaremoana walk below.
