Wireless charging is nothing new to the smartphone industry. However, not all handset makers include wireless charging capability to their handsets. Here are some of the best smartphones that have wireless charging feature.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5

The Galaxy Note 5 that was launched and released in August this year packs in top-end specs that are the envy of rival smartphone makers. The phablet also includes in-built wireless charging feature. Samsung does not offer a charging pad along with the Galaxy Note 5 but customers can purchase Samsung's Fast Charge Wireless Charging Pad directly from the company's website at a price tag of $69.99.

The product webpage suggests that the wireless charging pad charges devices such as Galaxy Note 5 by up to 1.4 times faster than standard wireless charging pads. The wireless charging pad also reduces charging time from 0-100% by up to 50 minutes in comparison to other wireless charging pads.

"With Galaxy Note5, charging wirelessly is so fast and so liberating that there'll be no turning back. You're fully charged in just 120 minutes," per Samsung.

Samsung Galaxy S6

The Galaxy S6 also support for both Qi and PMA wireless charging. The handset was the first flagship smartphone for 2015 and attracted many customers. Many customers wanted to try wireless charging on their handset but they had to purchase the charging pad separately.

Samsung launched the Wireless Charging Pad after the launch of Galaxy S6 so that users can benefit from cordless charging. Customers can buy the charging pad for their Galaxy S6 from Samsung at a price of $49.99. The charging pad is also compatible with other smartphones.

LG G4

The LG G4 launched and released in April this year is LG's first flagship handset for this year. While the handset supports wireless charging, customers have to buy a LG Quick Circle Wireless Charging Folio Case to enable wireless charging on their handsets.

The wireless charging feature of the phone may attract many customers. However, the wireless charging folio comes at an extra cost of $59.99, which has disappointed many customers. Several customers have also complained about charging issues with the folio.

"My case does not seem to work with wireless charging. I have put the case on correctly but it does not seem to work with any wireless charger I have purchased. I have also tried a coworkers wireless charger and it does not work with my phone. What could the issue be? I've already replaced the case through my phone provider and that did not seem to resolve the issue," complained a user.

Nexus 6

Google unveiled the Nexus 6 in October 2014 and the handset supports Qi wireless charging just like its predecessor, the Nexus 5.

Many customers would have hoped that the Nexus 6P will also support wireless charging but Google did not include the feature in the latest smartphone.

Motorola Droid Turbo 2

The original Motorola Droid Turbo had wireless charging capability and its successor, the Droid Turbo 2 released in October this year also features wireless charging.

Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is available in the U.S. only via Verizon Wireless. The Droid Turbo 2 does not come with wireless charging pad but Verizon customers can buy a wireless charger for $59.99 that stands upright so that users can even see the phone's display while charging.
