It just keeps getting better and better, or rather cooler and cooler for the Coolest cooler. As of July 15, Ryan Grepper, who was asking for $50,000 to help jumpstart his Coolest cooler project, is nearing the $5 million mark, in what is expected to be one of, if not the highest Kickstarting crowdfunding campaigns of all time. And he still has over one month to go.

With a donation of $165 to the campaign, the cooler will be yours when it begins shipping in February of next year. Grepper also released a video of the new Coolest Cooler in an effort to get more people interested in the product. It appears to have been a wide success.

Many media outlets have praised the cooler, saying it is one of the most innovative devices in recent years, and could be a staple on beaches globally in years to come. It is, in essence, the cooler 2.0.

Grepper's idea is to take the regular cooler filled with ice and towards something else entirely, where it will be equipped with a myriad options including a built-in rechargeable blender for cocktails and smoothies.

Only six other ideas on Kickstarter have earned more money than the Coolest Cooler, and with more than a month to go in the funding process, it is likely to pass all those in the dust.

"Regular coolers are boring, break easily and are a hassle to haul around just to carry the ice. The COOLEST cooler is 60 quarts of AWESOME packed with so much fun you'll look for excuses to get outside more often," says the Kickstarter campaign, which initially had asked for $50,000, but has earned massively more.

According to Grepper on the Kickstarter page, the cooler will come with an 18v battery that is fully rechargeable, a removable waterproof Bluetooth speaker, USB charger, LED lid light, cutting board and cooler divider, integrated storage for plates and knives, a bottle opener and much more. It is, in many ways, the cooler for the future.

The campaign is akin to a Youtube.com video continuing to spiral out of control as more and more users watch it, while in this case, as the hundreds becomes thousands and now into the millions, for Grepper, it is watching his company grow from what was just an idea.
