The first season of Telltale's Game of Thrones series wrapped earlier this week, and it did so with a number of loose ends that had some reviewers criticizing the game's finale. Looks like those loosed ends will be tied up eventually, as Telltale has now confirmed that a second season in their Game of Thrones series is in the works.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in a spoiler-filled interview (for real, don't click the link if you have yet to finish the game), Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner says choices made in the first season of the game will carry over to the second, as that has been what the developer has been planning all along. He goes on to say "I really shouldn't be revealing more than that."

Bruner describes the process of working on Telltale games as similar to working on a television show. That's not surprising given Telltale's now signature episodic format for their games, but Bruner goes on to explain that much of Telltale games spend their time in pre-production as sticky notes and storyboards.

He wouldn't say exactly how far along season two of Game of Thrones is or when fans could expect it, but he did say that there is no shortage of sticky notes on the walls at the development studio. Bruner didn't say whether or not season two will be six episodes long like the first season, or if it would adopt a five episode season like the vast majority of Telltale titles.

The sixth episode of the first season looks to be filled with hard choices and plenty of bloodshed, as House Forrester at long last confronts House Whitehill in all-out war. Expect more Game of Thrones news from Telltale soon.
