There is big news in the gaming world: a beta release sneak preview of Destiny. The game is expected to be fully released by September.

The beta version is already available to PlayStation 4  gamers who are already enjoying the pristine 1080p video resolution quality, along with 30 frames per second.

The company that makes the game, Bungie, says the 1080p version will also be available for the Xbox One as well. The current beta version for Xbox is only at 900p. In a video, the company explained it worked with Microsoft on using available resources on the machine to bump up the resolution.

But that's not the only big news with Destiny. Fans are petitioning Bungie to add another option in the game's character settings--facial hair.

In the game, players can customize characters between a range of human and alien feature sets. Of those feature sets, beards and mustaches are not included.

Apparently, gamers want that option. They have sent a petition to Bungie asking for the ability to customize characters with hairy faces, according to reports. Characters called "Guardians" are available in four "races," one of which is human.

Gamers can customize Guardian's hairstyle, face, markings and color, but the option for facial hair is not available. Will bungie add the feature now that there is a petition from fans of the game?

Destiny is a multiplayer action-adventure/shooter game that is one of the most anticipated games of the year. Players can select between three types of classes, depending on their preferred method and style of game play.

The game is set in future Russia on planet Earth. Players navigate a complex map provided in the beginning of the game in an effort to complete various missions. The game can facilitate up to three players at once.

Lots of weapons can be picked up during play. Shotguns and grenades are a couple of examples of weaponry available from shot up enemies in Destiny. There is also a multiplayer "Crucible" mode that resembles earlier shooters like Halo or Unreal Tournament.
