Motorola has started taking preorders for a special and limited edition of the Moto X Pure Edition smartphone, which are designed by Jonathan Adler.

On Wednesday, Nov. 18, Motorola announced the limited edition Jonathan Adler-designed Moto X Pure Edition and confirmed that the limited edition handsets will go up for preorder on Nov. 24.

"This holiday season, Motorola has something for every style lover on your list, including an all new Moto X Pure collection designed by the iconic Jonathan Adler. The limited-edition collection features three eye-catching, stylish phones that Jonathan felt captured the spirit of Moto Maker, our online phone design studio," per a Motorola blog.

Now the company has reaffirmed via a tweet that customers can preorder the limited edition Moto X Pure Edition.

Motorola unveiled the Moto X Pure Edition in July this year and the smartphone made its way to the shelves in September. The mobile phone has top-end specs, which the company hopes will appeal to many customers. The Moto X Pure Edition is available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models but the limited edition variants will be available only with 32GB internal storage. All other technical specs of the limited edition phone remain the same as the regular handset.

The Moto X Pure Edition touts a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor clocked at 1.8GHz and 3GB of RAM powers the Motorola device.

The Motorola offering is equipped with a 21MP rear-facing and 5MP front -facing camera. The smartphone comes with a 3000mAh battery. The device supports turbo charging and Motorola claims that users can get up to 10 hours of use from just 15 minutes of charging.

The Moto X Pure Edition comes pre-installed with Android 5.1 Lollipop. Motorola has confirmed that the device will get the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow software update in the coming weeks.

The regular 32GB Moto X Pure Edition costs $449.99 on BestBuy. However, customers who want to buy the limited edition Jonathan Adler designed model will have to pay $474.99.

The company initially announced that the limited edition Moto X Pure Edition will go on sale starting Dec. 3. Motorola now expects the smartphones to be delivered by Dec. 15.

Customers can preorder the Jonathan Adler designed Moto X Pure Edition directly from Motorola's official website.
