The story of Batman: Arkham Knight on PC has been a long and sad one. Since the game originally released back in June, publisher Warner Bros. pulled the Batman: Arkham Knight from Steam after it was discovered that the game ran extremely poorly on more than a few computers.

It took more than three months for the game to finally reappear on Steam's store in a repaired state. However, it's not out of the woods yet. The game still isn't running like it should for many, but thankfully developer Rocksteady is still hard at work fixing what shouldn't have been broken in the first place.

A new patch for the game addresses some of the ongoing problems. Many of these fixes are aimed at specific progression bugs, like not being able to activate the Knightfall protocol or being unable to proceed through the Stagg Airship under certain conditions.

More than a few of the issues addressed are visual as well. From addressing "hitches" while saving the game to repairing performance drops during certain in-game actions, it looks like Batman: Arkham Knight on PC is slowly but surely reaching the point where it is playable for most. You can read the full list of patch notes (and the angry comments) here.

New content has been released for Batman: Arkham Knight periodically over the last several months, ranging from new Batmobiles, new costumes for Batman and the addition to play as different character's in the game's combat challenges. All of the content coming as part of the game's season pass has yet to be released, so expect to see Batman: Arkham Knight in the headlines for a while longer.
