Sprint subscribers can start enjoying the new service feature in August. All they have to do is sign up for Google's services which would include Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Calendar and Google Sites. For business customers, they can enjoy added services such as single sign-on, free online training and 24/7 customer support.

Sprint aims to become a "one-stop mobile service shop for businesses" by integrating all aspects of Google's cloud-based technology and make them easily accessible with a single registration. Businesses will get a complete and customized solution in order for them to meet their growing mobile-based business needs. With this move, Sprint is taking things from ground zero in an effort to be recognized as "America's Newest Network." Along with Google Apps, the company is also gearing up with its latest offerings known as HD Voice and Sprint Spark.

Vice President Mike Fitz of Sprint's business solution commercialization proudly expressed that Sprint is loaded with a wide range of mobile tools that could meet the demands of companies that rely on multi-generational work styles. Through this, the company would be able to help people "boost productivity and collaborate from virtually anywhere."

Sprint is the third largest wireless carrier in the US and had been facing stiff competition from bigger rivals such as AT&T and Verizon. Last year, the company is said to have lost 2.2 million subscribers not only to its huge rivals but also to smaller companies such as T-Mobile. Faster service, contract buyout offers, and phone-financing plans are just some of the reasons why subscribers have switched to rival companies.

The move to offer Google services is the company's bid to attract new customers and perhaps even get back the ones that they have lost. Analyst Roger Entner of Recon Analytics LLC said, "This move makes sense for Sprint. A small-business owner wants mobile, e-mail and tech support, so why not sell them together. It takes away the need for an entire IT backroom, and lowers their expenses."

Google Apps for business will enable any business size to help their employees become more productive, innovative and successful. Apps such as Gmail, Google Sites and Google Calendar would help them stay connected and collaborate their work easily. On the other hand, Google Drive and Google Docs which feature word processing, presentation and spreadsheet would enable easy file sharing and real-time collaboration. These tools, which offer an absolutely cloud-based solution, will allow people to work wherever, whenever and however they want in a secured and controlled work scheme.
