Black Friday and Cyber Monday are over but customers can still benefit from deals, especially on the Nexus 7 (2013), which is available only for $109.99 and for $114.99 with an optional travel cover.

Google released the second-generation Nexus 7, made by Asus, in July 2013 and it was the first device to be shipped with the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. The tablet has received major software updates such as Android 4.4 KitKat, Android 5.0 Lollipop and it is also upgradeable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The Nexus 7 (2013) touts a 7-inch IPS LCD multi-touch display with a screen resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and 323 ppi. The tablet sports a 5MP rear-facing camera and a 1.2MP front-facing one.

Under the hood of the Nexus 7 (2013) is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.5GHz and 2GB of RAM. The tablet is available with 16GB or 32GB internal capacity. Unfortunately, the Google tablet does not have a microSD card slot to expand the memory.

The Nexus 7 (2013) measures 7.87 x 4.49 x 0.34 inches, or 200 x 114 x 8.65 mm, and weighs 299 grams, or 10.55 ounces.

Groupon is offering the 16GB version of the Nexus 7 (2013) at a discounted rate of $109.99. The actual retail price of the tablet as advertised on Groupon is $199. Groupon is also offering the Nexus 7 (2013) with an optional travel cover for just $114.99, which means customers can protect their tablet by spending just $5.

The Groupon offer is for limited time only and customers will have to rush if they want to take advantage of the latest deal.

At the reduced price, the Nexus 7 (2013) may be ideal for kids and is also a good gifting option.

Amazon is currently selling the 16GB variant of the tablet for $129. Those who want a bigger internal memory can purchase the 32GB version of the tablet for $223.95.
