The San Diego Comic-Con seems like it is the best place to discuss the future of DC's upcoming "Justice League" film, to be directed by Zack Snyder. Now it is being reported that the scribe behind the upcoming tentpole "Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice," Chris Terrio, is being eyed to write "Justice League" as well.

In his first theatrical effort, Terrio took home the Academy Award for Ben Affleck's "Argo" just a few years back. Despite being hired for the massive "Batman v. Superman" production, changes began to get added to the new franchise flick. By the end of 2013, characters like Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and possibly Aquaman were being added into the mix for the Bat-movie.

It was after all of these new additions that the production decided to go with the relatively green Terrio. Surely it did not hurt that the scribe had dealt with Oscar winner Ben Affleck before.

Apparently in an effort to use "Batman v. Superman" as a setup vehicle for the even bigger "Justice League," it was necessary to make the big move to help create a narrative that would seamlessly integrate all of the new supporting characters that have been rumored to be added as of late.

Deadline first reported that Terrio is being eyed for the "Justice League" script. This gives credence to the fact that "Justice League" will definitely follow on the heels of "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice."

It makes sense, especially for director Snyder because he can work with the same creative team on back-to-back mega movies. It is certainly is a daunting task and vote of confidence to place the "Argo" scribe on such a massive undertaking so early in his career. The Oscar he won does carry a lot of weight, and it seems more and more like the fate of the DC filmed universe is squarely on his shoulders.

"I'm hearing that after he absolutely crushed the script on that film, Oscar-winning Argo scribe Chris Terrio is being courted by the studio to come aboard and script its Justice League movie. That superhero mash-up will be DC Comics' answer to Marvel's Avengers juggernaut. Not that well known prior to Argo, Terrio has fast become an A-list scribe, and a favorite of writer-directors. He's got Bunker Hill with Ben Affleck, and The Foreigner, among several big pics," according to Deadline's Mike Fleming Jr.

The San Diego Comic-Con panel for Warner Bros. could reveal more about the fate of the films, so we will be sure to keep you updated on any pertinent developments.
