The upcoming iPhone 6 rumor mill is in full swing and the conversation on the latest smartphone installment from the company is getting some solid press ahead of its expected launch later this fall.

It is now expected there will be two separate release dates for the two separate models, including the larger 5.5-inch display that has many tech gurus salivating.

Last week, numerous reports emerged that the company would release its two models separately, with the 4.7-inch device to debut in September and the 5.5-inch model to make its appearance sometime in early 2015.

However, new rumors are emerging that have tech analysts believing this might not be the case. This does not make complete sense, say some analysts, who point to the success of both the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S, which have been selling simultaneously for months, with the 5C even beating out the 5S in the previous quarter. One report suggests that the rumors of separate launch dates does not make business sense and wouldn't fit with Apple's current strategy.

Still, unnamed Apple sources "familiar with the matter" have been quoted as saying the two launch dates are to be expected: "The different timetables have been set as Apple does not want to repeat the mistake it made in 2013 when it launched the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S simultaneously."

Apple sold more than 32 million iPhones in the last quarter.

The potential delay in the launch was initially blamed on manufacturing the glass for the device and its casing, but this appears to not be the case, with many now believing that the delays are a result of the company's marketing strategy yet to get off the ground.

It is also expected that Apple will fully launch its new operating system Yosemite this fall at the same time it rolls out the iPhone 6. This should be a twofold victory for Apple as it attempts to create more innovative products and capture users' attention with high-end products that continue to lead and drive the technology sector.

While the rumor mill is in full swing, most analysts suggest being patient as the company develops its strategy. Excitement abounds over the latest smartphone from Apple and the media are lining up to deliver their reports daily on what they believe will be part of the iPhone 6 and what won't.
