Buried in the blur of Sony's recent leaks surrounding the gameplay features of the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake and the announcement of Ni No Kuni II was another gem of video gaming goodness: a huge discount on PlayStation Now subscriptions.

Originally $19.99 per month and up to $44.99 for three months, Sony is offering an entire year's worth of PlayStation Now for just $99.99. That's less than $9 a month for access to hundreds of PlayStation 3 games with a batch of new games added every month.

Some of the newer games being added to the archive of titles available on the PlayStation Now network include franchises from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. This latest batch appeals to both adult and kid gamers.

For the big boys, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, Batman: Arkham Origins, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Mortal Kombat, and F.E.A.R are available on PS Now starting Dec. 8. For the kids (and kids at heart), The LEGO Movie Videogame, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, LEGO Batman: The Videogame, and LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will also be available to play on the same date.

Of course, to take part of this special treat, interested customers need to set up a free PlayStation Network account, a PlayStation Now-compatible device like a PS4, PS3, select Sony Bravia TVs or even select Samsung Smart TVs, a compatible DualShock controller, and finally, at least a 5 Mbps broadband internet connection.

Existing subscribers won't be missing out either. The $99 12-month subscription can be added to an existing one-month or three-month PlayStation Now subscription. After completing their purchase for this latest offer, PS Now users will see their subscription extended by an additional 12 months. This is a limited-time offer only.

"The PlayStation Now 12-Month Subscription is our best deal ever and is available for a limited time!" Sony says.

It's not said exactly when the deal ends, however. Nonetheless, with Sony bringing back PlayStation 2 classics to the PlayStation 4 and with online access to PlayStation 3 titles, there's never been a better time than now to be on Team PlayStation.
