For its latest bi-annual charity marathon, the nonproft event Awesome Games Done Quick featured self-proclaimed speedrunner and vanquisher Halfcoordinated smashing everything to, well, devastation, in Transformers: Devastation, but with a twist. The gamer completed the hardest level of the game in 45 minutes, all with one hand tied behind his back.

Well, okay, his hand wasn't tied behind his back, but Halfcoordinated did only use one hand for gameplay. The gamer has the condition hemiparesis, which, as its Latin roots suggest ("hemi" meaning "one-half" and "paresis" meaning "muscular damage or weakness"), means that the musculature in Halfcoordinated's right side isn't as strong as that in his left. To bypass issues with hand-to-hand coordination, Halfcoordinated simply only uses his left hand to work his controller.

Sideswipe (as well as the character's extensive arsenal and speediness, which is up to 50 percent faster than the other playable characters), the speedrunner, gave some autobots a good beating — and as Kotaku noted, with a litany of Transformer puns to boot.

Three cheers for a gamer who has more talent in one hand than most have in two.
