The iconic children's show Sesame Street might be making a move over to HBO where the big kid programs like Game of Thrones, Girls, and Silicon Valley reign supreme, but that doesn't mean Jim Henson's creations can't pal around with the best of them. Case in point? A True Detective parody featuring Big Bird and everyone's favorite lovable curmudgeon, Oscar the Grouch.

On Tuesday, Jan. 5, late night host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel expressed his concern over whether the lovable muppets would fare well in their "new neighborhood." To get them to try and fit in with shows like True Detective, known for its noirish grit, literary references, and philosophical (or, depending on whether or not you disliked the show's sophomore season, pseudo-philosophical) meanderings, Kimmel excerpted some audio clips from True Detective's first season and mashed them with some silent Sesame Street footage. So if you've ever wanted to hear Oscar wax existential or Big Bird swear, now's your chance.

Sesame Street will begin its 46th consecutive season on Jan. 16; syndicated episodes from this season will also run on PBS after they have aired on the cable channel.
