Intel Corporation is targeting business users - who are frequently concerned about their device's security - with the launch of its 6th-gen Intel Core vPro processors.

The new lineup of Intel Core vPro processors addresses the productivity demands of businesses, as well as security concerns by imbibing not only improved performance, but also authentication security in the processors.

The new feature dubbed Intel Authenticate has been keyed into the silicon chip. Intel Authenticate is basically the first-ever multifactor authentication solution on a hardware that will further fortify identity protection on PCs. Therefore, as a result of this ability, devices will become less susceptible to hacking.

The security feature verifies the identity by deploying a combination of a maximum of three facts simultaneously. These facts could be a combination of "something you are" such as a fingerprint; "something you have" - a user's phone number; and "something you know" - one's personal identification number.

Intel Authenticate will choose from a gamut of "hardened factors" for authentication, which have the company policy as their basis. Thanks to this security feature, one need not merely rely on employees memorizing complex passwords.

Intel will make the processors available immediately to companies so that they can start the internal testing, as well as qualifying. For those wondering which Windows version Intel Authenticate is compatible with, it will run on Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10.

The company claims that the 6th-gen Intel Core vPro lineup of processors is the best Intel processors for business purposes. Intel claims that the processor offers two and a half times better performance when compared to the 5th-gen.

The processors also aid three times the battery life, as well as give a push to the graphics performance. Any guesses on what the increase is compared to the predecessor? Thirty times!

The new lineup of the 6th-gen Intel Core vPro processors is poised to be deployed by OEMs such as Dell, Acer, HP, ASUS, Lenovo, Toshiba, Panasonic and Fujistu in their new devices targeted at enterprise users.
