The "Dawn of the Justice League" special aired Tuesday night on The CW and it brought along with it a teaser from Warner Bros. and DC for the upcoming "Wonder Woman" movie.

In the exclusive clip, "Fatman on Batman" host Kevin Smith and DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns talked about Gal Gadot's character, discussing how the movie would spotlight the origins of Wonder Woman.

Johns said Wonder Woman is one of the greatest of the superheroes (one of the most recognizable too!) and yet many have zero clue about where she came from and why she does what she does, unlike Batman or Superman. That's why the aim of the movie is to tell people who Wonder Woman really is.

Amazons were originally tasked with protecting the world, but they've since abandoned their mission, a move that Wonder Woman questions. When she's told that it's because man is simply not worth protecting, she embarks on a journey away from her home and into the world of man to determine for herself if this is the truth.

"We're going to see her coming of age, the entire history, what's her mission," said Gal Gadot in the video.

While not many may know of her origins, nobody will contest that Wonder Woman is one of the best fighters in the DC universe (she's actually THE best, according to Johns). She has not only speed, but strength as well, skills she honed since she was young as she's been training for war her whole life.

To director Patty Jenkins, however, the greatest thing about Wonder Woman is "how good and kind and loving she is, and yet none of that negates any of her power."

Before Wonder Woman hits the big screen in her standalone movie, the Amazonian warrior princess will be appearing in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," which is scheduled to hit theaters March 25.

Gadot will be joined by Robin Wright and Chris Pine when "Wonder Woman" is released June 23, 2017.
