In just a few months' time, Nintendo is going to officially roll out Bravely Second: End Layer, as the gaming company made the announcement at a 3DS event in San Francisco.

For those who don't know, Bravely Second: End Layer is the sequel to Bravely Default, and it takes place in the same universe a couple of years after. That means players will be able to return to the land of Luxendarc once again.

Silicon Studio and Square Enix developed the series, and it has been a highly anticipated role-playing game since the first was released. Considering that Square Enix had a hand in the development, it bears some resemblances to Final Fantasy.

A saying even made rounds on the Internet that if it's a game just like Final Fantasy but isn't, then it's Bravely Default. The artwork is partly responsible for that, as the game features the designs of Akihiko Yoshida, who is one of the main artists of the certain Final Fantasy series.

The coming of Bravely Second: End Layer was first confirmed on a Japanese magazine, which Kotaku got ahold of. It features images and some details about the character Magnolia.

Collector's Edition

Bravely Second: End Layer will have a Collector's Edition, which consists of the game, a soundtrack CD with 10 songs and a 250-page art book. However, the U.S. version won't come with an Agnes figure, only the European one. As for the price, it's pegged at $69.99.

Availability

Just like Bravely Default, Bravely Second: End Layer is also a Nintendo 3DS exclusive. Square Enix launched the game on April 23, 2015, and in the U.S. and Europe, Nintendo is at the helm in publishing it.

Now, for the release date, it'll land on U.S. shores on April 15, 2016. Europe will be getting it a bit earlier, as the game is set to go official there on Feb. 26, 2016.

In the same vein, a demo titled "The Ballad of the Three Cavaliers" will be playable before the full game's launch. According to Nintendo, it'll feature "a unique story different than the one found in Bravely Second: End Layer, as well as new jobs and areas to explore." On top of that, StreetPass tags and bonuses will carry over to the full game, so it's more than worthwhile to check it out.
