The Division represents a big step forward for Ubisoft. While the publisher is no stranger to massive games, The Division's inherent connectivity is something new: like Destiny, The Division is meant to be played online, in a shared world. On top of that, it's one of Ubisoft's first major RPGs - aside from a few publishing deals, Ubisoft has never really thrown their hat into the role-playing ring.

And now, after years of waiting and multiple delays, the game is almost here: The Division is finally set to launch this March. While its popularity may have waned as the months went by, a successful alpha test and a serious marketing push from Ubisoft has put the game back on a lot of people's radars.

For console players, seeing that the game is actually on-track for release is usually enough - but PC players typically want a bit more info before diving into a game. With a game as huge and as detailed as The Division, it'll likely take some serious hardware to run - thankfully, Ubisoft has finally revealed the game's tech specs and recommended hardware:

It should come as no surprise that The Division will require a relatively beefy computer to run. It's a pretty game, what with all the particle effects and seamless world - unfortunately for those with older rigs, all that visual fidelity comes at a cost.

Hopefully, it'll all be worth it: Ubisoft has come under fire lately for a less-than-stellar record with its PC releases. The PC port of Assassin's Creed Syndicate was pushed back for extra polish late last year, and Far Cry Primal's PC release date falls one week after the console versions. The Division could find a huge fanbase on PCs - but only if Ubisoft has put in the work to make the game playable.

It won't be long before PC players get to try the games out for themselves: The Division is due out on March 8, with a closed beta test set to begin on Jan. 28.
