We seem to have an undying thirst for anything that will give us a behind-the-scenes look at our favorite movies and TV shows. If you're of that mindset, this video should make you pretty satisfied.

A supercut of 40 actors auditioning for some of the most iconic films and TV shows has been gaining popularity on Reddit. The video was submitted by a user named antdude, and it has gained nearly 500,000 views since it was posted by PrankMedia on YouTube on Aug. 7.

The video is a mix of auditions from movies and TV shows, featuring actors who had already been established to those who were waiting for their big breaks. Some of the films and series being auditioned for in the supercut include "Star Wars," "Sherlock," "The Notebook," "Lost" and "Breaking Bad." There is just something about seeing celebrities in a less-polished state—out of costume, out of makeup, without editing—that is just so fascinating to watch, and this will surely keep you mesmerized for the whole four-and-a-half minutes.

One of the highlights of the supercut is Megan Fox's audition for "Transformers," where she seems to repeatedly flub her line. There's also an adorable Lindsay Lohan auditioning for "The Parent Trap," cute British accent and all. Some of the performances that will give you chills over just how good the acting is are Hugh Laurie auditioning for "House, M.D.," Henry Thomas auditioning for "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial" and Gabourey Sidibe auditioning for "Precious." Yes, you will get goosebumps and you may even shed a tear. But really, nothing beats Steve Carell and the boisterous laugh that he put on to audition for his character Brick in the "Anchorman" movies. Just hearing it will automatically make you laugh, guaranteed.

It seems like audition tapes are just made to take off on the Internet. Chris Klein's lol-worthy audition for the film adaptation of "Mamma Mia!" went viral in 2010. Rachel McAdams' audition for "The Notebook" made the rounds on the Internet earlier this year, just in time for the film's 10th anniversary. Most recently, audition tapes for "Forrest Gump" blew up on Reddit.

We can't wait to see what audition tapes find their way to the Interwebs next, and we'll definitely be on the edge of our seats waiting to find out.
