The impending HTC One M10 smartphone dubbed as the "Perfume" has been the blue-eyed boy of the gossip mill for some time now. The successor of the HTC One M9 will allegedly bear a strong resemblance to the HTC One A9.

The latest leak is courtesy of noted tipster Evan Blass who goes by the Twitter handle @evleaks. Blass posted a cryptic tweet suggesting that those who like the HTC One A9 - which was recently launched in pink - will favor the much-anticipated flagship HTC One M10.

@evleaks' post hints that when it comes to design sensibilities, the HTC One M10 will look like the One A9. This means that the upcoming HTC flagship will boast a svelte, an all-metal body, along with a fingerprint sensor on the front of the device.

Blass also posted a screenshot on Twitter with the message "It's alive." The screenshot belonged to the One M10 (aka the Perfume), showing a link with its code "HTC2PS650" and "ATT," hinting that it was headed to U.S. network operator AT&T.

According to some rumors, the HTC One M10 may sport a 6-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. Recently, as we reported, reliable HTC tipster LlabTooFeR divulged that the One M10 will be released in two variants.

One of the versions will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. This variant will be released in the European and U.S. markets. The second variant will be head to the Asian markets and will run on MediaTek-based chipsets.

"I'm expecting 2 versions of the device: Qualcomm 820 (for EU and US markets) and MTK based (Mainly for China and South-East Asia)..." he notes in a tweet.

The tipster has also corroborated rumors that the HTC One M10 smartphone has the codename Perfume. He suggested in a Twitter post that the device will be introduced at a special event.

Rumors point to a 23MP rear-facing camera for the HTC One M10. Leaks have also hinted that the One M10 will not be splash-resistant unlike its predecessors, but it will be water-proof and IP68-certified. The device will come running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, with HTC Sense 8.0 UI running on top. A powerful 3000mAh battery is expected to fuel the HTC handset.

While some reports hint at the HTC One M10 debuting at the MWC 2016 in February, others suggest that HTC has deferred the smartphone's launch to March instead.
