Tommy Hilfiger is giving priority to Apple Watch users on its next fashion show.

The upcoming New York Fashion Week will reportedly have a dedicated fast lane meant for guests who are wearing the Apple Watch. The show will feature the smartwatch as part of the event.

Guests who are trying to check in to the event can use the wearable's GPS Radar app, which is designed to make the whole process easy and fuss free. The app was also built with the ability to identify the attendees who have received invites as well as the ability to send RSVPs.

Guests will be able to flash a QR code using the wearable's interface, eliminating the need to take out their smartphone.

"Digital innovation is changing the industry faster and faster every season and we're always excited to be on the forefront of those changes," said Tommy Hilfiger, as cited by Racked.

The Hilfiger fashion line is the first brand in the event to offer its customers Watch-related privileges.

Apple, on the other hand, has always projected the Apple Watch not just as an iconic wearable piece of technology, but also an important fashion object.

The Apple Watch was also notably spotted being worn by popular celebrities who have been sharing images of the wearable on social media. These include Beyoncé, Katy Perry, J.J. Abrams and Anna Wintour of Vogue.

It was speculated that the Apple Watch will have 40 million units sold in 2017. The statement was released by top Apple Analyst Gene Munster, as previously reported by Tech Times. This year, it is predicted that the Watch will reach about 14 million unit sales.

So far, the company has not yet revealed in its earnings report the exact number of Apple Watch units sold. According to Tim Cook, Apple Watch sales is competitive information and he is not interested in helping the competition. He added that the company shipped a lot of the wearable during the first quarter of 2015 and had shipped even more during the last quarter.

The NYFW of Tommy Hilfiger, which will carry the theme of Fall 2016, will also feature "InstaPit" which is dedicated solely to Instagram users and Rebecca Minkoff as one of the designers in the show.
