Parents now have an option after their children graduate from Power Wheels ... and let's just say this electric go-kart is probably smarter and safer than anything else available to them.

Actev Motors' new Arrow Smart-Kart is a go-kart — aimed toward 5- to 9-year-olds — that touts built-in Wi-Fi, allowing parents to use an accompanying app (both Android and iOS) to designate the range and set the top speed.

But that's just part of the reason why parents might fall in love with this go-kart, as it also includes front-collision sensors, automatically stopping the Smart-Kart before it makes impact via a possible accident, and an emergency stop feature that cuts off the Smart-Kart's engine, altogether, with the tap of a button on the app.

About the range setting, parents can use the accompanying app to set the distance that their child can travel. That field of distance essentially creates a digital barrier, which automatically slows the Smart-Kart down if the child tries to rev past that range.

Actev also thought about kids growing up with the Smart-Kart, considering it allows parents to increase the top speed of 12 miles per hour, using their app, as children grow and become a more experienced go-kart driver within that 5-to-9-years-old window.

The Arrow Smart-Kart runs from 30 to 60 minutes on a full charge, although driving the go-kart on more demanding, rougher terrain would bring that driving time down closer to the 30-minute mark.

It's available for preorder on the company's website for $600.
