Latest leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge hint at the colors in which the smartphones will become available.

Samsung will be launching the much awaited Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge at its Unpacked event on Feb. 21, a day before the 2016 Mobile World Congress kicks off in Barcelona.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge in White Pearl, Gold Platinum and Black Sapphire finishes and later added the color options Blue Topaz and Emerald Green.

However, this year, the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge may not get the same colors. Latest leaked renders suggest that Galaxy S7 will be available in black and gold color options, while customers can buy the Galaxy S7 Edge in black, silver and gold hues.

It should not come as a surprise if Samsung introduces more color options for the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge in the near term.

The renders of the Galaxy S7 smartphones have been leaked by famous leakster Evan Blass, more commonly known in the technology industry by his Twitter handle @evleaks.

In the past, Blass has also tweeted that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge as well as the Galaxy S7 Edge+ at a single event, which will leave the company to focus on the unveiling of the Note series in the second half of the year.

Blass also hinted that Samsung will release the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge on March 11.

Samsung remains mum and has not let out any details of the upcoming smartphones. However, rumors hint that both the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge will sport a 5.1- and 5.7-inch displays, respectively. The S7 Edge will have a curved display that will extend to the edges of the device.

Speculations are also rife that Samsung might launch two versions of the Galaxy S7: one with an Exynos processor and the other with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Rumors also suggest that Korean handset maker will bump up the RAM from 3 GB to 4 GB in the upcoming phones.

The Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge were criticized by many smartphone enthusiasts for not including a microSD card slot. If rumors are to be believed, then the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge might also come with a microSD card slot.

Smartphone lovers will have to wait just for a few more days before Samsung officially takes the wraps off the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge.
