ABC televised "The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60," a celebration for the 60th anniversary of the much-beloved theme park, as well as the influence of the Walt Disney Company for the past six decades. Everyone was already excited for the star-studded celebration but Disney just revealed something that further excited park visitors and "Star Wars" fans alike: a first look into the planned "Star Wars Experience" in Disney parks.

Of course, who else could best introduce the planned addition to Disney parks than characters from the saga themselves? Harrison Ford, who played Han Solo in the "Star Wars" films, including the 2015 release "The Force Awakens," was given the honor of kick-starting people's imagination.

Ford came up on stage to talk about how awesome "Star Wars" is and how blessed he was to be given the opportunity to be a part of it before finally unveiling the plans for the park.

The "Star Wars Experience" is a collaborative design of Walt Disney Imagineering and LucasFilm designers. The plan is to bring the galaxy far, far away to the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts nearest you.

Visitors will be given the chance to pilot the Millennium Falcon, be thrown in the middle of the battle between the First Order and Rebels and walk in the various locations seen in the "Star Wars" films. There is also the choice to dine in the best dinner club or just have a gustatory adventure at the nearest cantina.

The experience would not be complete without the Stormtroopers and various alien species to interact with, and the "Star Wars Experience" promises park visitors will get the chance to experience that too.

After the roughly two-minute preview, Ford and BB-8 treated everyone to a live "Star Wars" music experience.

There is no announcement yet on when park-goers can expect the "Star Wars Experience," but until then, fans can see an array of spectacular "Star Wars"-themed shows at Disney's Hollywood Studios beginning April 4.
