Stephen Curry is just too good.

The reigning NBA MVP and league's current leading scorer is so good that he just broke NBA 2K16. NBA 2K just can't seem to figure out how to capture Curry's skills.

"To be completely honest, we are still looking for ways to better translate his game into NBA 2K," Mike Wang, gameplay director of NBA 2K, told Forbes. "He's a 'rule breaker' when it comes to jump shooting ... he becomes a problem in the video game world where we've been trying to train our gamers [to know] that certain types of shots should be rewarded versus others."

Hey, can you really blame 2K here? After a banner 2014-15 season, in which Curry was an All-Star, won the league's MVP and led the Golden State Warriors to an NBA title win, he came right back with a seemingly more lethal arsenal of moves.

Whether it's launching three-pointers well beyond the arc, jab-stepping and leaving defenders in the dust or his ability to handle, spin and pass or shoot with no space ... Curry is one hard player to capture. So hard to capture that NBA 2K is being brutally honest in saying that it's having a rough time properly virtualizing him for its hit title.

Wang added that "scoring in the paint and three-point shooting have historically been the toughest areas to properly balance" — something that should only add to the difficulty of properly capturing Curry's advanced game, as the superstar point guard could launch a three-pointer one second, while crossing over a defender and spinning into the lane the next in a dizzying display of nonstop jaw-dropping moves.

It is a good problem to have, though, considering that there's plenty of basketball left this year with the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs — giving NBA 2K more time to adapt to Curry's complete body of work and top-notch skill set.

This being said, the pressure will certainly be on the video game developer to build a more accurate Curry for its NBA 2K17 title later this fall in time for the 2016-17 NBA season.

Who knows? By then, Curry may just have another MVP and league title to his name.

2K has plenty of work to do.
