Ubisoft may have partnered with RocketJump to make an official live-action series for The Division, but one other group of fans have been working on their own live-action film based on the upcoming shooter for just as long.

It's called The Division: Outliers, and it comes from the folks at Frisky Biscuit. While it won't be winning an Oscar for best acting, it's clear that a lot of work and passion went into the project.

What's really interesting is that Outliers came together months the game's closed beta and prior to Ubisoft revealing much about the world The Division takes place in. As a result, the filmmakers had to take what they knew about The Division several months ago and make their own interpretation of what they thought Ubisoft's shooter might be like in the wild.

At times it can be pretty spot on. From the looks of the characters to the mini-turret featured in the game, Frisky Biscuit nailed more than a few important features the game. Of course, there is plenty of shooting as well, though the bad guys in the video go down way faster than their in-game counterparts. The dialogue, setting and enemy combatants don't quite match what is on display in the real Division, but it's interesting to see what the team could do based on minimal information about the final product. If nothing else, it just goes to how video game publishers like Ubisoft keep huge amounts of information close to their chests even six months before a game is scheduled to release.

You can check out the full video below. The Division launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on March 8. The beta for the game smashed records when more than 6.4 million players took the game for a spin, causing Ubisoft to proclaim it as "the biggest beta ever for a new game brand on current generation platforms." That number puts it more than a million ahead of the number of players who participated in Destiny's beta. Considering how many comparisons there are between the two shooter/RPG games and how successful Destiny proved to be, Ubisoft looks to have a hit on their hands.
