Sting's career in World Wrestling Entertainment never quite hit its stride.

"The Icon" lost a significant match to Triple H in WrestleMania 31 last March, failing to defeat "The Game" for all the marvels on "The Grandest Stage of Them All."

And things only got worse for Sting months later in September's Night of Champions (2015), when he suffered a bad neck injury during his match for the World Heavyweight championship, when he took a buckle bomb gone wrong from Seth Rollins (although Sting didn't blame Rollins for the injury).

Three months later in December and Sting, appearing on an early-December 2015 edition of Ric Flair's WOOOOO! Nation podcast, revealed that he needed surgery to correct cervical spinal stenosis and was lucky to not suffer a worse fate in his match against Rollins.

The injury also left Sting unclear about his future in pro-wrestling and if he'll ever step foot to perform in the squared circle again. However, that didn't stop WWE from announcing this past January on Monday Night Raw that "The Icon" will be inducted into its Hall of Fame Class of 2016.

And that brings the WWE Universe to this point, less than a month away from WrestleMania 32, which airs live from the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on April 3, with the Hall of Fame induction coming the night before on April 2.

So, who will be inducting Sting into the Hall of Fame? None other than "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, as the legend and two-time WWE Hall of Famer confirmed on his podcast, as reported by WrestlingInc.com. If there's anyone who should induct Sting into the Hall of Fame, it's Flair.

Their legendary feud dates back to the late-1980s, when the two fought at the inaugural National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) Clash of the Champions in 1988. That transitioned to the name change of World Championship Wrestling (WCW), where they would have many more memorable bouts for the World Heavyweight title.

Knowing Flair's charisma and their history, this should be one great induction speech. And for anyone even remotely thinking Sting doesn't deserve the induction because of his spurned, short stint with WWE ... stop it. He more than put in work over the course of his legendary career and is deserving of the honor.
