Shulk, Bowser Jr., and Ganondorf are just three of the many characters expected to appear in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. 4 game for 3DS and Wii U.

The list of characters to appear in the game was leaked online, showing that Shulk, from Xenoblade Chronicles and Bowser Jr. will be making their debut appearance in the game. Other characters, such as Ganondorf, have been included in the series for a number of games now.

In response to the leak, Nintendo has said they have "nothing to announce right now. For the list of announced playable characters for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, please visit: www.smashbros.com."

A total of five videos were leaked and the videos come not long after the same leaker released a number of screenshots that showed the list of characters.

Other characters to be found in the upcoming game include Laughing Dog, Ness from Earthbound, as well as Dr. Mario and Dark Pit.

Laughing Dog, or the Duck Hunt Dog is a relatively unknown character who made his first appearance over 20 years ago in a game for NES that allows users to shoot at ducks on the TV screen using a gun called the NES Zapper. Laughing Dog would pop up on the screen and laugh at players when they missed the ducks.

Super Smash Bros. is one of Nintendo's most popular game series, and includes a number of popular characters from various games, who come together to fight. Previously, Nintendo announced that Pac-Man and the Wii Fit Trainer would both be making an appearance in the game. Some are also expecting Wario to appear in the game as a playable character.

Popular characters like Samus, Mario and Donkey Kong, who have all appeared in previous versions of the game, are expected to make a return in Super Smash Bros. 4.

Some characters from the previous Super Smash Bros. games will not be included in the new game. These include the Ice Climbers and Snake.

The leak was posted to anonymous forum 4chan, and was followed by a number of videos that seemingly confirm the screenshots that were leaked. It is likely that the leak came from someone within Nintendo.

A number of new rewards, or trophies, will also appear in the game, including Pauline, Candy Kong and Krystal.

Super Smash Bros. 4 is scheduled to be launched on October 3 by Nintendo and Bandai Namco.
