A leaked iPhone 7 case design suggests that the next-generation Apple smartphone will not have a protruding camera nor any antenna lines.

It has been more than six months when Apple launched the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus, and now rumors of the iPhone 7 have started emerging.

French publication NoWhereElse has posted an image of inside and outside of the purported iPhone 7 case. The website suggests that the case image has been leaked by Apple casing supplier Catcher Technology.

The iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus have a protruding rear-facing camera. If the leaked casing is to be believed, then the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus may not have the protruding camera. However, the image shows a black material around the rear-camera cutout, which NoWhereElse describes as a "slight bulging outgrowth."

Moreover, if the leak proves to be true, then the handset may not have antenna lines at the back. The case also suggests that the iPhone 7 will be slightly thinner than its predecessor, which hints that Apple may not use a 3.5 mm headphone jack at all.

Tech Times previously reported that Apple Insider was able to obtain a copy of Barclay's research memo written by analysts Blayne Curtis and Christopher Hemmelgarn. It stated that the iPhone maker may replace the headphone jack with a second speaker in the iPhone 7.

Now the question arises: how will owners of the upcoming iPhones use headphones without a 3.5mm jack?

Speculations are high that Apple is developing high-end Bluetooth headphones, which customers can use for listening to audio.

The iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus pack in top end features and undoubtedly, the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus will bring in even better specs. Some rumors suggest that Apple may use AMOLED display in its next iPhones, which is significantly more power efficient when compared to the LED-backlit IPS LCD panels used in older iPhones.

Apple used 1 GB RAM in iPhone 6, but increased it to 2 GB of RAM in the iPhone 6s. Most of the flagship mobile phones in the market have 4 GB of RAM, and iFans surely will hope that Apple increases the RAM in its next iPhone.

Customers are also hoping that the iPhone 7 is waterproof and supports wireless charging.

It is estimated that Apple will launch the premium iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus in fall. The rumor mill of the iPhone 7 has started churning and more speculations and leaked images of the Apple device will appear in the near term. All these rumors should be treated with a pinch of salt.
