Fallout 4's first piece of DLC arrives next week, and now, Bethesda is giving fans a better idea of what to expect from the new content with an action-packed trailer full of robotic carnage.

We've known the Automatron DLC would revolve around a villain known as the Mechanist creating a robotic army. We also knew players would be able to create their own death-dealing machines to counter him and assist in combat.

This trailer shows all of that and more, including just how creative players can get as they craft their perfect robot companion. By harvesting the parts from defeated machines, players can create the robot of their dreams. From hovering bots to those rolling on treads, it certainly looks like players can do as they see fit.

That includes equipping robots with a wide assortment of deadly weaponry. In the trailer alone, we get glimpses of buzz saw hands, sword arms, flamethrowers, powerful claws and more, which should make for one heck of a good time.

If you've always wanted to participate in the show BattleBots, Fallout 4's first add-on looks to fulfill that fantasy. Players can even go so far as to customize the robot's paint jobs and voices.

It's not just the robots that are getting some new toys, though. It looks like a number of new weapons will also fall into the hands of players, including a lightning chain gun and a buzz saw pole arm of some kind.

Fallout 4's Automatron DLC will retail for $9.99 and will be available on March 22 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Those who purchased the game's $30 season pass (which has now gone up in price to $50) will be able to download the add-on at no additional cost.

This will just be the first of many Fallout 4 add-ons. After the release of Automatron next week, fans will be able to buy the Wasteland Workshop DLC in April. That add-on will focus on the game's settlement-building system. Next will come the game's largest announced expansion, Far Harbor, which is set to include a vast new area for players to explore.
