If you are looking to purchase an iPhone 6S, Apple Watch or other products or accessories, you won't be able to buy them online from the company for the time being. The Apple Store website is temporarily closed on Monday as the company prepares for its spring launch event.

The Apple Store reportedly went offline around 4 a.m. PT on Monday for probably two reasons: for starters, the company is expected to announce new products, so the site could be in the process of being updated; and second, it seems like Apple is being a bit dramatic in anticipation of its big reveals. It seems silly that the company would be willing to lose out on potential customers by closing up shop for the morning and the afternoon, but it's probably best for people to hold off on making a purchase before they get to see what's next from Apple.

As of now, those who go to the Apple Store online will get a message that reads, "We can't wait to show you what we have in store. Our virtual doors are just about to open. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and your patience as we work to get everyone in as quickly as possible." The message appears in multiple languages so that all customers can understand.

It's important to note that the entire website isn't down, just the ability to buy products, so Apple customers can still learn all about the iPhone 6S, compare iPad models, and check out the Apple TV and Apple Music pages. Customers can still go to physical Apple Stores if they really need to get an item.

We expect the store to be back up for business once the event is over. Apple's press event will start at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. EDT), where the company is expected to unveil the 4-inch iPhone and the iPad Air 3, as well as new colors and more for the Apple Watch.

Apple will be live streaming the spring event on its website, but only some devices will be able to support it. These include iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with Safari that is running on iOS 7 or later, Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later running OS X 10.8.5 or later, PC with Microsoft Edge running on Windows 10, second- or third-generation Apple TV running on software 6.2 or later and the fourth generation Apple TV.
