The search for the new face of Angus MacGyver is over! It has been confirmed that Lucas Till has won the lead role in CBS's reboot series of the '90s favorite, "MacGyver."

Till is best known for his work as Havoc in the “X-Men” franchise. He was also featured lip-locking with Taylor Swift in her music video, “You Belong With Me.”

The original “MacGyver” starred Richard Dean Anderson in the titular role and ran from 1985 to 1992 on ABC.

The screenplay for the new series picked up by CBS was written by playwright, Paul Downs Colaizzo. The story will reportedly follow a younger Macgyver who is still in college, and whose genius makes him both celebrated and feel like an outcast.

According to James Wan, who initially signed to direct the pilot, but had to back out due to scheduling conflicts, the new, younger Macgyver will be a man trying to clear his name.

“He gets blamed for something that he had designed, something really big that’s something everyone wanted, and now someone has weaponized it and everyone’s coming after him,” he said.

Taking over the director's seat for the pilot will be David Von Ancken.

Till will be joining previously announced castmates, Joshua Boone, who will play Macgyver's best friend, and George Eads as Lincoln, a character described as someone who could easily be looked over as a loony conspiracy theorist, but has legit connections to the government.

Henry Winkler, who was the executive producer of the original “MacGyver” series will also take on the same behind-the-production role in the reboot, along with Michael Clear.

Although many are anxious to see if Till can indeed fill in the shoes of MacGyver, fans can first see him on the big screen again as Havoc in “X-Men: Apocalypse,” as well as in the upcoming film “Monster Trucks.”
