Sowing chaos has always been a fun part of the Grand Theft Auto series. Causing traffic jams, alerting the army, punching pedestrians in the face, blowing things up; these are all ingredients that make the sandbox of Rockstar's open-world franchise so great.

So, what happens when you make one of GTA V's deers immortal and dedicate a 24/7 Twitch live stream to its escapades? Absolute chaos.

That's what user bwatanabe has done. Using a modded version of GTA V, he's taken one of the game's innocent deer and made it immortal. Whereas normally, the deer in GTA V can be killed by traffic, bullets or falling down a hill, this deer is impossible to kill. It's also programmed to make its own decisions without anybody even playing the game, thus making the 24/7 broadcast possible.

It's all unscripted and organic, and oftentimes hilarious. Here's what happened in the first 48 hours of the live stream.

"In the past 48 hours, the deer has wandered along a moonlit beach, caused a traffic jam on a major freeway, been caught in a gangland gun battle, and been chased by the police," bwatanabe writes.

The poor deer has also been attacked by dogs, fallen down mountains, used as mobile cover and much, much more. It has been stuck on a boat, run over and assaulted, too. People seem to be enjoying the deer's adventures, as more than 100,000 people have tuned in to watch since the stream began. Even cooler is that users who want to donate to the stream are actually helping the Humane Society for Seattle/King County. So far, users watching bwatanabe's stream have raised roughly $70 for the organization, which isn't too shabby, considering the whole thing started out as a fun experiment.

Even without an immortal deer causing havoc across Los Santos, GTA V continues to be wildly popular thanks to the game's active modding community on PC and frequent multiplayer updates from Rockstar. Just last week, the developer added dozens of new items as well as a new game mode, giving players of GTA Online plenty more to do. You can read more about that here.
