The HTC One M8 is now available at half price on eBay, with the 32 GB Verizon version going for $189.99 unlocked and brand new.

HTC is widely expected to unveil its new HTC 10 (One M10) next month, but the One M8 is still a powerful smartphone if you don't necessarily have to have the latest and greatest.

The HTC One M8 proved to be a popular smartphone thanks to its sleek metal design and combination of good specs, albeit it could have used a better camera. Nevertheless, the One M8 packed competitive hardware when it launched, and it can still hold a punch even today.

As a reminder, the HTC One M8 sports a 5-inch full HD display (1,920 x 1,080 pixels), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2 GB of RAM and a 2,600 mAh battery to keep it all up and running. The handset also packs 32 GB of internal storage space, expandable up to 128 GB via microSD.

The smartphone further comes with a "Duo" camera on its back, but its performance left much to be desired. In fact, the One M8 received quite some criticism over its camera combo, as most observers dubbed it sub-par for a flagship device.

At a $189.99 price point, however, the HTC One M8 definitely brings bang for the buck. It may not be a new flagship anymore, but it doesn't have the price of one, either. The Snapdragon 801 will deliver a speedy performance, while the decent 2 GB of RAM will ensure everything runs smoothly. Upgrades to Android Marshmallow and HTC Sense 7 will further refine the experience.

EBay seller "mobilepros1" is offering the unlocked Verizon edition, but the handset should also work on GSM carriers such as T-Mobile and AT&T. As the listing points out, however, this One M8 version will not work on Sprint.

This bargain offer for the HTC One M8 on eBay will not be available for long, as only limited quantities are in store. As expected for such a deal, more than 130 units have already been sold, so interested customers might want to take advantage of this deal while it still lasts.

The seller has an overwhelmingly positive rating on eBay, which suggests he's a trusted source. To make your purchase, head over to eBay.
