The thing about unboxings (those popular videos online where someone just records themselves opening a gadget from its box) is they're predictable. We know how it's going to end.

And yet, views for such videos - especially for ones on highly anticipated devices like iPhones - balloon into the thousand, if not millions. But this particular unboxing video of the LG G5 flagship takes it to the next level of "awww-ness."

Thanks to Verizon, we'll all probably start seeing a new trend of unboxing by animals. In the carrier's latest soon-to-be viral video, Verizon decided to do a different kind of unboxing to announce the launch of the G5 on its network.

"To celebrate, we invited a few furry friends to give you an inside look at all the cool features and accessories available for the G5. Also, don't miss the 360 Puppy Cam from Verizon," reads the video's description.

That's right. Puppies. Verizon had puppies unbox an LG G5. The video opens with two Labrador puppies - one black, one yellow - escaping from a real box and then finally fronting a pristine box with an LG G5 in it. In the 1 minute and 20-second video, however, it's the white pup that does the most damage gnawing away at the box.

It's the Yellow Lab again that finally gets to the G5 as it licked and pawed at the device's screen. Soon enough, the puppies' friends join in on the fun and that's where Verizon takes its cue to also introduce the G5's "friends," such as the LG Tone Platinum headphones, LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE, LG Cam Plus and LG 360 Cam. Naturally, all the puppies get their paws on those devices, too.

Viewers who can't get enough of the cuteness can also check out Verizon's 360 Puppy Cam using, of course, the LG 360 Cam. That video, however, hasn't gotten as much attention as the unboxing video of the G5 by the playful Labs.

As for the G5 itself, you can order it via Verizon's website. LG's latest flagship phone with the first of its kind modular setup can be had for $624 without a plan, or for zero down for $24 a month on a 24-month plan with Verizon.

If you're not sure about it just yet, check out Verizon's LG G5 unboxing below and let the puppies decide for you.
