Fans curious about how WWE 2K15 is shaping up or wondering about some of the new features of the game are in luck: 2K Games is releasing a new "Making of WWE 2K15" video series that gives players eager to get their hands on the game even more to look forward to.

The first episode of the series, titled "A New Generation of Wrestling," looks at some of the powerful new technology going into WWE 2K15 in order to bring the game to life in ways that were never possible before, as well as featuring a few appearances from WWE stars like Hulk Hogan and Randy Orton. You can check it out below.

"We looked at kind of the fundamentals of gaming -- visuals, gameplay, audio, and presentation, and we wanted to bring that to a whole new level that the wrestling community hasn't seen yet," says one WWE 2K15 developer in the video.

One way 2K is doing that is with its facial-capture technology. By taking pictures of the stars and their facial expressions, the developers can bring an even higher level of detail and realism to the game. The only problem is that in order to do that, the developers have to work around some incredibly busy schedules.

"In order to get all the superstars in the game and scan these guys we had to go out on the road and go where they go, and these guys are traveling every day and we have to figure out where they are going to be," art director Lynell Jinks says.

Executive producer Mark Little says that teams from 2K were gone weeks at a time all around the country meeting up with Superstars in order to make their in-game appearance as accurate as possible. The same mindset went into recording the game's match commentary, capturing the voices and interactions of the broadcasters as if they were actually ringside watching the match in person.

So far more than 40 wrestlers have been revealed for the game, with more to come. WWE 2K15 hits store shelves October 28 in a standard and exclusive next-gen "Hulkmania" edition.
