When Swiss Army Man debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in January, it had a mixed reception that ranged from critics hailing the film to people walking out of the theater. Now that A24 picked up the film, we will all finally get to witness just how crazy the film is to cause multiple walk-outs in spite of its sold out screenings.

This movie, which won the directorial duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert their Dramatic Directing Award in Sundance, starts with a trailer just as crazy as the concept of the film.

The trailer begins with Paul Dano, who plays a suicidal man named Hank, has lost all will to stay alive after being marooned in an island for so long. His attempt to hang himself is foiled when the rope he is using breaks after he sees a dead body wash up on the shore of the island.

The corpse, played by Daniel Radcliffe, gives Hank a new hope. Then he uses the dead body for a lot of useful, but crazy things the way he would use an army knife, hence the title Swiss Army Man.

A24 released the official trailer on April 4, but before we get into that, here is a suggestion from the directors:

The corpse functions a lot like Castaway's Wilson, but goes above and beyond by also functioning as anything Hank needs: from a fart-propelled jetski to freedom, to a spit water fountain, to a boner compass-and no, that is not a typo error.

The last one is also Daniel Radcliffe's favorite part, in case anyone wanted to know.

Despite its unusual and wacky premise - and fart jokes that can probably compete with South Park - you cannot deny that the film is a little intriguing. Just don't expect too much from it and shy away from it if you are not a fan of bodily jokes.

"Honestly, the only thing we were trying to do was start a movie with a fart joke and end the movie with a fart that makes you cry," Kwan said.

You have been warned.

But if you need a push to consider whether it is worth watching or not, take a look at the Tweet of this critic who walked out during the film's screening.

Swiss Army Man will be released in cinemas on June 17.

Actually, it is best if you just watch the trailer because it is just as bizarre as you think it is based on what was said above.
