Samsung quietly released refreshed variants of its Galaxy Tab S2, which consumers can get at the starting price of €449 (around $513).

Dubbed as the company's current generation high-end tablet, the Galaxy Tab S2 comes in 8-inch and 9.7-inch displays and is now available at German site Cyberport.de. The refreshed version now comes with a better CPU which is a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor. The original version is said to be packed with an Exynos 5433 chipset.

The €449 Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 T813 N tablet has a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 2,048 x 1,536. It's also packed with 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion of up to 128 GB, 8 MP rear camera, 2.1 MP front camera, Wi-Fi, microUSB and Android 6.0.

The second variant is the 8-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 T719N tablet, which has the same Super AMOLED display and the same pixel resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 as the aforementioned tablet. Other shared specs with the previous model include the 3 GB RAM, 32 GB memory, front and rear cameras, Wi-Fi, microUSB and Android 6.0. Its weight of 272 grams (0.60 pounds) is lighter than the previous model's weight of 389 grams (0.8575 pounds). Customers can get the 8-inch variant at the price of €479 (around $547) in a white color option, similar to the above-mentioned variant.

The third tablet available on the site is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 T819N LTE tablet which is priced at €549 (around $627). It comes with a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display at 2,048 x 1,536 pixel resolution. While it shares similar specs with the other two models, the third tablet is packed with an octa-core 1.8 GHz Exynos Qualcomm chipset. It is also slightly heavier than the other 9.7-inch non-LTE model, as it weighs 392 grams (0.8642 pounds). The tablet is available in a black color option.

Samsung touts the 8-inch variant as the perfect device for readin,g while the bigger version with a 9.7-inch display makes watching movies more fun and enjoyable.

Samsung is expected to announce its next generation tablets around July this year if the company remains true to its annual update cycle.
