Weibo got us used to leaks about upcoming mobile devices and another unannounced Samsung device now makes the cut, starring in some unofficial images.

A screenshot of an AnTuTu benchmark shows a device codenamed SM-C7000, which might as well be the mid-tier Galaxy C7 rumored to launch soon.

Looking at the leaked specs, it seems that that the device packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 CPU for processing power, which gets backed by no less than 4 GB of RAM.

On the visual side, we are looking at a screen capable of full HD resolutions of 1,080 x 1,920p. Owners of the device will be able to use a 16-megapixel main camera, alongside an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. All the media will be stored in a default storage space of 32 GB, with no information on possible microSD card support. Software-wise, the phone will come with a proprietary UI pasted over the most recent build of Android - 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

It appears as if Samsung has a device for every segment of the market. The purported Galaxy C7 would sit comfortably between the Galaxy A7 and the flagship Galaxy S7.

The phone might not have a QHD resolution, but its decent specs and likely affordable price may convince customers who are uncomfortable shelling about $650 or more on the Galaxy S7.

Should the AnTuTu benchmark prove true, the device's 60140 points place it really close to last year's flagship Galaxy S6.

This is not the sole middle class smartphone from Samsung's upcoming C Series, either.

The C5 recently exited the testing grounds of Geekbench, and its benchmark scores became public. The handset has good qualities that make it a worthy alternative the company's Galaxy A.

The upcoming C7 mid-tier phone, as well as the C5, is expected to have premium-looking designs with quality metal and shiny glass material. The C series may not be premium series phones, but the design will reportedly borrow cues from the higher-end models such as the Galaxy A8 and the Galaxy A5. Not only that, but Samsung deploys metal makeover designs even in its line of budget-friendly smartphones, the Galaxy J.

Some rumors say that Samsung will roll out the Galaxy C series for the Chinese market exclusively, but we might get to see the affordable smartphones in other markets, as well.
