Academy award-winning actor Willem Dafoe is not new to superhero films, playing Norman Osborn, also known as the Green Goblin, in the 2002 adaptation of Marvel's Spider-Man starring Tobey Maguire. Fast-forward 14 years, he is ready to leave his sinister laugh and Goblin glider behind and cross over to the side of justice as he has just been officially cast as one of the good guys for Zack Snyder's adaptation of Justice League.

However, there is no information yet if Dafoe will be a powered individual or one of the regular good guys, like J.K. Simmons as Gotham Police Department's Commissioner James Gordon.

Justice League will see the return of Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne and Batman, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman and Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman.

Filming for Justice League already began on April 11 but the film's director, has been busy preparing for it since February and, perhaps, even before that. Snyder even tweeted a photo of himself and his Aquaman, Momoa, surrounded by the props and costumes during pre-production back in February.

There is no news yet as to which supervillain the team of superheroes will be fighting against in Justice League but Darkseid seems to be a logical choice given the character was teased in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

We are also not sure who the seventh member of the team will be since Warner Brothers said that Green Lantern's earliest appearance may still be in the second part of the movie.

Justice League Part One is set for a Nov. 17, 2017 release.
