Graduation time comes and everyone faces reality by stepping into the world of employment. A lot of fresh graduates aren't sure which companies to apply to, but thanks to a Glassdoor report, they can think about going for the highest paying employers in the United States.

The employment services website released its list of the highest paying U.S. companies in 2016 based on data reported anonymously by employees. This record follows a previous list of the 25 highest paying jobs in the country.

Tech companies have led the race in providing the highest salaries for their employees. When it comes to earning more, courses that deal with technology or management consulting are top earners.

In the Glassdoor report, technology companies account for most of the 25 highest paying employers in 2016 while consulting firms take the first two spots. Visa, a credit card company, has been included in the list, too.

It was expected to see Google, Facebook and Twitter among other major tech giants who nearly dominated the entire list.

Notably, the report reveals that some companies are even offering their employees six-figure paychecks. The computation was based on the company's median total compensation and salary reports that were voluntarily shared by employees. The report combined the base pay of employees and other types of compensation like bonuses, tips and commissions.
